Family Involvement

Breanne also believes that family involvement can make a significant difference in a child's therapeutic success. Breanne works closely with parents, caregivers, siblings, and other key family members/friends who want to be involved in a child's therapeutic program. When your child receives therapy with Breanne, you can count on her consistent dialogue and communication with you about progress and suggestions. She is always eager to share ideas, help problem solve, and recommend easy-to-try activities that will enrich your child's progress.

 

Some topics of interest for parents may include (but are not limited to):

  • Ideas for using language during everyday routines (meal times, bath time, visits to the playground, etc.)
  • Fun, easy oral-motor ideas for the whole family
  • Using language to negotiate sibling and peer relationships
  • Ways to read to your child and how to choose the best age-appropriate books
  • How to build language through play time
  • How to choose the most learning-friendly, language-based toys
  • Encouraging pre-literacy, pre-academic skills and beyond!
