Family Involvement

Family involvement can make a significant difference in a child's therapeutic success. Breanne works closely with parents, caregivers, siblings, and other key family members/friends who want to be involved in a child's therapeutic program. Consistent dialogue about your child's communication goals and progress is key to therapeutic success. 

 

Some topics of interest for parents may include (but are not limited to):

  • Ideas for using language during everyday routines (meal times, bath time, visits to the playground, during homework, etc.)
  • Using language during play 
  • Ways to read to your child and how to choose the best age-appropriate books
  • How to choose the most learning-friendly, language-based toys
  • Supporting literacy and academic skills
