Group Therapy Opportunities

Social groups: Social groups for both preschool and elementary age students offer an opportunity for children to enhance their social communication skills with the guidance of a SLP with advanced training in both group facilitation and social communication. Breanne's groups are intentionally small and provide a context to develop peer interactions, build relationships, and boost overall confidence in social contexts.

Speech buddies: Speech buddies is a unique program that offers match-ups for children of similar ages and needs. This means a speech-language therapy session includes two children at the same time. Goals are still individualized and both peers receive extensive support. This approach is beneficial because it reassures kids that they are not alone in their challenges. Additionally, it potentially reduces wait times for access to quality speech therapy and overall reduces costs when therapy is offered in a dyad format. In an area where waiting lists abound, this is one innovation solution that Breanne has piloted with great results.

Infant/toddler groups: Infant toddler groups offer families a unique opportunity to come together to build community while addressing the unique needs of their developing child with language development as a focal point. As a Hanen certified provider, Breanne specializes in group faciliation for families and Early Intervention age children in a group environment.
